Hello!

Welcome to my website for teaching and tutoring services. I teach voice to students of all ages, I tutor in academic subjects for students grades K-12, and teach adult ballet classes.

A bit about myself: I grew up in beautiful Victoria BC. During high school, I obtained my Advanced 2 Diploma in Classical Ballet from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). I then went on to attend The Canadian College of Performing Arts for three wonderful years. I completed a Bachelor of Performing Arts at Douglas College in New Westminster. I have studied voice for over 12 years and completed my Grade 8 Royal Conservatory of Music practical voice exam, earning First Class Honours with Distinction. 

My passion for performing led me to work with various theatres around the lower mainland over the past few years. Performing brought me into contact with some wonderful people, through whom I was able to start teaching theatre.

I came to realize that teaching was something I genuinely love doing. I love helping students gain confidence in themselves through new skills. Always a strong student throughout my academic career, I look forward to applying my teaching skills to an academic environment. My goal is to attend SFU or UBC next year in order to become a certified BC teacher.

With this in mind, I am excited to announce that I am looking to tutor school aged children. I am able to tutor in any subject up to Grade 10, as well as Pre-Calculus Math 11, English and other humanities in Grades 11 and 12.

In addition to tutoring, I offer private voice lessons to students of all ages.  I have a strong basis in technique and performance practice through my degree and many years of training.  I use the principles of Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method in my teaching to help students achieve vocal freedom and confidence, no matter the genre.

Ballet for adults: Ballet is my first love, having trained since I was five years old. I progressed all the way up through the RAD system and I have over 18 years of ballet training. My goal with teaching ballet is to offer beginner classes for adults looking to keep fit while dancing! Not very many studios offer adult ballet classes and I thought this would be a great way to fill that void.
